Dancing at Trinity

All country dancers who have a basic knowledge of steps and formations are welcome at Trinity, with or without a partner.

 

We cater primarily for adults, but youngsters are welcome on a trial basis if they are keen to dance, and if they are accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them at all times. There are reduced admission charges for those aged 21 and under.

 

Programmes for the evening are published on this website well in advance, with downloadable cribs (both in words and as diagrams), and a link to videos of the dances.

 

Every dance is recapped immediately before we dance it, so you don't have to rely on your memory. However, we do recommend that you have at least a quick look at the cribs or videos before you come.

We don't aim to teach beginners: if you are new to Scottish Country Dancing, or returning after many years, we recommend first attending the classes run by the RSCDS to gain or refresh your confidence - but we will be very happy to welcome you to Trinity when you feel ready in the future.
